No. 23 - arriving mail art "Gundling Meese Erzstaat Otto Bismarck" from Jonathan Meese (Germany) sent in by Angela Behrendt (Germany) - a stunning submission from well known performance artist Jonathan Meese. Angela Behrendt told me that she wants to go to a vernisage of Jonathan Meese and I asked her why not ask the artist to make me a mail art for my new call, and she did and Meese too. Jonathan Meese wrote "Otto Bismarck" on his artist card, signed and dated it - and in a way it is well fitting to the theme because the artist it holding the german eagle in this portrait. Angela sent the card inside an envelope in which she used the Bismarck stamps I have sent to her and the text "er hat sich nur schwach geäußert" (he expressed himself in a weakly way). Thank you very much for this highlight in the collection.

Boyer (USA) - inside this over and over with postage stamps decorated envelope there is a real surrealist portrait of Otto von Bismarck, worked out in black ink. It seems to be in a state of dissolving and it is an example of his advanced entoptic graphomanias.
No. 13 & No. 14 - arriving mail art "Der Lotse geht von Bord" and "Der Laotse geht von Bord" from Mischa Gerloff (Germany) - Mischa has used one of the most iconic picture of Bismarck, while he is leaving the boat, the socalled "dropping the pilot", here just with a modern ship and the variation with the funny pun of Laotse. No. 10 - arriving mail art "Der Bismarkhering - Version 2" from Angela Behrendt & Heinz W. Lotz (Germany) - a coproduction between these two artists. Heinz has used the stitched first version of the fish and made a collage out of it and sent it first to Angela. She has sent it to me without any further postage stamp on it - so there are two cancelation of the post office on the stamp, first from 6th of July and the second from 16th. Thank you very much
